ABOUT ME
I have a great love for anything bright and colourful and I express my passion through experimental layering to create exciting surfaces. My work is influenced by personal experiences and feelings towards colour and texture, often exploring the surreal and abstract. From doing a year of Textiles Design as well as three years of Surface Design for Fashion and Interiors, I have gained valuable knowledge in both fields. Throughout my time at the University of Huddersfield I have completed both practical work as well as academic research, report writing and presentation skills. I have participated in two sponsored briefs and had my designs selected to be exhibited at The Surface Design Show in London 2013 by Nova Glass and EGE Carpets.
Surface Design is developing creative visual ideas that can be translated into printed designs for a wide range of surfaces. These include printed textiles for fashion and interiors, ceramic and glass-ware, wallpaper and wrapping, decorative laminate and floor coverings, and many other innovative decorative design and print applications.
